Saving and Bookmarking Posts for Later
How to save posts privately, organize them into collections, and manage what you've saved
Not every post is meant to be enjoyed once and forgotten — recipes worth trying, articles worth finishing, or Minis worth rewatching all deserve a second look. Whistlr's save feature lets you bookmark posts privately so you can find them again later without liking, commenting, or sharing them publicly. This article covers how saving works, how to organize saved content into collections, and how to manage what you've saved.
Saving a Post On any post, Mini, or Imprint, tap the bookmark icon in the action bar alongside the like, comment, and share buttons. The icon fills in to confirm the save, and the content is immediately added to your private saved collection. Saving is completely private — the original creator is never notified that you've saved their content, and saved posts never appear anywhere on your public profile.
Organizing Saved Posts Into Collections Rather than dumping everything into one long list, Whistlr lets you sort saved content into named collections. When saving a post, tap "Add to Collection" instead of the default save action, then choose an existing collection or create a new one with a name like "Recipes" or "Watch Later." You can move a saved post between collections at any time, and a single saved post can belong to more than one collection if it fits multiple categories.
Finding Your Saved Posts Go to your profile and tap the bookmark icon near the top of the screen to open your saved content. From here you'll see "All Saved" alongside any collections you've created. Tap a collection to browse just that category, or stay on "All Saved" to scroll through everything chronologically, most recently saved first. This is also where you'll find saved Minis, which play back the same way they did in your original feed.
  • Bookmark Icon: Tap it on any post or Mini to save instantly to your default saved list.
  • Add to Collection: Choose a specific collection while saving to keep content organized from the start.
  • Create New Collections: Name a collection around a theme, like recipes, fashion inspiration, or travel ideas.
  • Move Between Collections: Reassign a saved post to a different collection anytime without unsaving it.
  • Privacy: Saved content stays private to you and is never visible on your profile or shared with the creator.
A feed moves fast, and the things worth keeping shouldn't have to compete with everything scrolling past them — saving exists so you can come back to what actually mattered, on your own time.
Removing something from your saved list is just as simple as saving it. Open the post from within your saved collection, tap the filled-in bookmark icon, and it's removed immediately — the icon returns to its outline state and the post disappears from that collection. If the original post is later deleted by its creator, it will also disappear from your saved list automatically, since there's no longer any content to display.
  • Unsave Directly: Tap the filled bookmark icon again on any post to remove it from your saved list.
  • Remove From a Collection: Use the collection view's options menu to remove a post from that specific collection only.
  • Delete an Entire Collection: Rename or delete a collection from its settings menu, which unsaves every post inside it.
  • Automatic Cleanup: Posts removed by their original creator are automatically cleared from your saved list.
