Switching Between Multiple Whistlr Accounts

Switching Between Multiple Whistlr Accounts
How to add a second account, switch between them, and manage notifications across multiple profiles
Many Whistlr users keep more than one account — a personal account for friends and family, and a separate account for creator or business activity. This article explains how to add a second account, switch between accounts without fully signing out, and manage notifications when you're juggling more than one profile.
Whistlr supports adding multiple accounts to the same app, so you can move between a personal account and a creator or business account without constantly signing in and out. This is especially useful if you want to keep your personal posts and connections separate from a public-facing or professional presence, while still being able to check both throughout the day.
Adding a Second Account Open your profile and tap your profile picture in the top corner, then select Add Account. You can either sign in to an existing Whistlr account or create a new one from scratch. Once added, that account appears in your account switcher alongside your original account, ready to use any time. You can add several accounts this way, not just two, as long as each one has its own sign-in credentials.
Switching Between Accounts To switch accounts, tap your profile picture and select the account you want to switch to from the list. Whistlr switches over immediately, without signing you out of the other account, so you can move back and forth as often as you like. Each account keeps its own feed, messages, notifications, and settings completely separate, so actions you take on one account never appear on another.
This setup is especially useful for creators and small business owners who want a dedicated account for their public content and audience, separate from the personal account they use to keep up with friends. It's also handy for managing a community or interest-based account alongside your main profile, without the hassle of repeatedly logging in and out.
  • Personal and creator accounts: Keep your everyday posts and friend connections separate from a public creator profile aimed at a wider audience.
  • Business accounts: Run a business or brand presence alongside your personal account without mixing the two.
  • Community accounts: Manage an account dedicated to a specific interest, group, or cause separately from your main profile.
  • Quick switching: Move between accounts in a couple of taps from the account switcher, with no need to sign out or re-enter your password.
  • Independent settings: Customize privacy, notification, and profile settings separately for each account to fit how you use it.
Managing Notifications Across Accounts Each account you add manages its own notification settings independently, found under Settings > Notifications within that account. This means you can keep notifications on for your personal account while turning down or customizing notifications for a busier creator or business account, or the other way around. When you switch accounts, the app shows notification badges for whichever accounts have unread activity, so you can tell at a glance which account needs your attention without switching into each one individually.
Keeping separate accounts shouldn't mean separate effort — switching between the different parts of your life on Whistlr should feel as easy as turning a page, not logging in all over again.
If you ever want to remove an account from your switcher, go to Settings > Account > Manage Accounts and select Remove from this device. This only removes the account from your switcher on that device — it doesn't delete the account itself, and you can always add it back later by signing in again.
